Hinckley & Hunt Yacht: Incompetent owners destroying cultural icons.

Jerry Lundquist (McKinsey & Co), Brooks Gordon (W. P. Carey), David Howe (Scout Partners LLC): It is time for you to go

You have proven to be incompetent owners who are destroying a cultural icon. The Bermuda 40 is the boat that made Hinckley famous, and you have allowed the company to turn it into a disaster.

The fact that our boat was found to have over 70 problems, including critical safety issues that pose a direct risk of fire, explosion, electrocution, injury, or loss of life, is unacceptable. It is clear that you have no respect for the heritage of Hinckley, and your actions are putting the lives of boaters at risk.

If you cannot fix the boat that your company knows best, which has been manufactured since 1960, you should sell the company. Hinckley has a long and proud history, and it deserves to be in the hands of someone who understands the importance of quality craftsmanship and safety.

You have shown that you are not that person.

Sincerely,

Classic Sailboats Ltd.
